POSITION SUMMARY |

The Patient Access Registrar is typically the first St. Vincent Health team member patients meet upon entering the hospital or clinic during regular business hours. The patient access registrar team is responsible for entering the patient's personal and medical information into the hospital's medical records system along with the reasons for the visit. The patient access registrar will also handle insurance work, including filling out forms and contacting insurance companies when authorizations are needed for specific services. The patient access registrar will meet and register patients and visitors to the hospital, communicate with the clinic, emergency department or outpatient departments, and assist patients, their families, or visitors to ensure a high quality, guest-focused experience. |
